We’re cyclists, engineers, and everyday riders who’ve experienced first-hand the risks of not being seen. That’s why we set out to design a smarter, safer way to ride—no matter what kind of bike or trike you’re on.
Hi‑Tail was co‑founded by Paul Costigan and Brian McIntyre, two long-time friends and collaborators who combined their technical expertise and shared passion for practical safety solutions. From sketch to prototype, they’ve spent years refining a product that solves a very real problem for cyclists worldwide.
Brian McIntyre – Managing Director
Brian brings deep experience as a mechanical engineer and product developer. He leads Hi‑Tail’s innovation and technical strategy, ensuring every detail—from telescopic mast design to light visibility—is engineered for real-world performance.
Paul Costigan – Commercial Director
Paul oversees operations, logistics, and commercial strategy. With a background in manufacturing and supply chain management, he’s focused on building scalable systems that deliver quality, reliability, and smooth customer experiences.
Our Mission
We want every ride to feel safer. Whether you’re commuting, exploring, or cycling for mobility, Hi‑Tail helps you stand out and stay seen. We believe safety doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be effective.
Our Vision
Our goal is to redefine visibility in cycling—not just through lighting, but through smarter design and broader impact. From urban commuters to cargo riders, adaptive cyclists to e‑bike adventurers, Hi‑Tail is for anyone who wants to be seen, stay safe, and ride with confidence.
